Mark Meehlhause, MD

Dr. Mark Meehlhause was born and raised in Iowa. After graduating from medical school at The University of Iowa, he moved to Texas for residency training in 1999. Upon completion, he opened a family medicine office in Frisco where he practiced for over 17 years prior to helping establish North Texas Preferred Health Partners in Frisco in the fall of 2019.

He has enjoyed getting to know the families who have entrusted him with their medical needs and providing them with quality, comprehensive care. As a result, Dr. Meehlhause has been named one of D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Collin County annually since 2012 and was also selected for the Health Texas Provider Network Family Medicine Hall of Fame in 2017.

Emphasizing preventative medicine along with optimizing overall health and wellness is a significant part of Dr. Meehlhause's medical philosophy. He has extensive experience caring for a variety of both acute and chronic medical issues for adults as well as pediatric patients. The variety of problems and issues encountered from the young child to the elderly patient is what originally led him to pursue this specialty and continues to cultivate his interest in family medicine. However, he most appreciates the close relationships that he has developed with his patients over the years.

Dr. Meehlhause is married with three children. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys coaching baseball and basketball as well as exercising and traveling when not attending one of his kids' numerous activities.
