With over two decades of experience in medicine, Dr. Anna Sessi brings compassionate, comprehensive care to the Austin community. A board-certified internal medicine physician and registered dietitian, Dr. Sessi is deeply committed to helping her patients thrive in both health and illness through personalized, evidence-based care.
A native of Austin, Dr. Sessi is honored to return to her hometown to open her new practice and reconnect with the community that shaped her. Prior to this, she owned and operated a successful internal medicine practice in Denton, Texas, for 16 years in partnership with Texas Health Resources. She also practiced in Dallas with the Health Texas Physician Group earlier in her career.
She is joining Dr James Marroquin’s internal medicine practice. As he did, she attended University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.
Dr. Sessi is known for her thoughtful, relational approach to medicine. She values the time spent with each patient—listening, educating, and working together to improve their health and quality of life.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Sessi travels annually to Guatemala as part of a medical missions team with Helps International. This service is a meaningful extension of her passion for global health and community outreach.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Sessi enjoys gardening, reading, and quilting. She is also a proud mother of two intelligent and kind-hearted college students currently attending Oklahoma State University.
Dr. Sessi is now accepting new patients and looks forward to building lasting relationships in her new Austin-based practice.
